Labor Day Musings and Ramblings -- Rudi Johnson is a Detroit Lion
Cincy Jungle — ... feature back; my guess as to the "decision" he has to make, and getting "comfortable with it." Who knows what Matt means. A part of me wonders if Rudi Johnson wasn't convinced he'd get cut by the Bengals and didn't prepare for the eventual job interviews. However, Geoff Hobson writes that a "league source said running back Rudi Johnson is going to be reunited with quarterback Jon Kitna in Detroit." CONFIRMED: Rudi is now a Detroit Lion. When NFL rookies met at the annual Rookie Symposium ...

Lions Sign Rudi Johnson to One-Year Deal
Pride Of Detroit — ... The Lions have signed running back Rudi Johnson to a one-year contract despite earlier reports that a deal wasn't imminent.  The signing won't become official until tomorrow as the contract was signed after NFL offices closed.  That means the Lions probably won't announce the move until tomorrow, meaning for now we don't know who Johnson is replacing.  However, all signs point to Tatum Bell being the odd man out. ...

Rudi! Rudi! Rudi! Wait a second...There's no reason to be excited
The Wayne Fontes Experience - A Detroit Lions Blog — ... If you listened to callers on The Fan and The Ticket, or held your nose long enough to wade into newspaper comment threads (I'm looking at you, Killer's acolytes at Mlive. Talk about mob rule, or the blind leading the blind...), you'd think the Lions just signed the next coming of Rudi Johnson...of 2005. ...

Detroit Lions Sign Rudi Johnson
Every Morning Quarterback — ... the Bengals less than 48 hours ago, the Detroit Lions worked him out and signed him to a one-year deal. Rudi replaces Tatum Bell (who was released by Detroit today) as the number two running back on the Lions depth chart behind rookie starter Kevin Smith. My guess is the Lions will split carries between Kevin and Rudi in the popular platoon system. If Rudi can stay healthy, this is potentially a great find for the Lions. Kevin and Rudi should compliment each other well. Source: MLive.com Share This

Kleptomaniac
The Viking Age | A Blog For Minnesota Vikings Fans — ... sorted.  Someone then had the bright idea to check the surveillance video (at least someone in Detroit can think) and guess what they discovered?  The bags were taken by, of all people, Lions running back Tatum Bell, whose job Rudi was trying to snatch.  Bell was found and confronted, and claimed he thought the stuff was someone else’s.  The bags and their contents were ultimately returned to Johnson and charges won’t be pressed.  Not surprisingly, Bell is now a former Detroit Lion - though that was going to happen even before he decided to make off ...

Let me briefly qualify this blog post: I have been watching Detroit Lions football every Sunday since I was a little girl. I love football (not as much as hockey) and usually watch 1-3 NFL games a week depending on my schedule. I am sadly a Lions fan and cheer for them with every solid pass or tackle and yell at the TV with every interception, missed tackle, or fumble like any other NFL fan. ...

The questions and answers are below, and I want to give a big thanks to Robinson for taking part in the interview. Pride of Detroit: When you first found out ...
