It should come as no surprise the Detroit Lions put running back Kevin Jones on their 53-man roster Saturday afternoon. The team placed guard Frank Davis on injured reserve, released 21 players and activated Jones from the physically unable to perform list with the intention of getting him ready for the Sept. 9 season opener on the road against the Oakland Raiders [link]
