—
The margin for error is down to zero. On the other hand, the margin for "shocking, historic comebacks" has never been wider. So you give a little, you get a little. Leon Powe to start for Kendrick Perkins. No lineup changes for the Lakers. BK with the first. FIRST QUARTER: The crowd is active early, which is a good sign for LA. They need to keep it up through the mega-break that comes between ...

Lakers forge Game 6
Triviality of Basketball —
... was over. The Lakers managed to survive another Boston scare and was able to extend the series. Kobe Bryant was awesome during the stretch as well as other key guys in their lineup. Paul Pierce on the other hand almost single handedly brings the Celtics to his shoulders by scoring 38 points. Though his turnover at the closing seconds cost the game Garnett had a mediocre game and Ray Allen was struggling with his open shots. Here are great recaps from some sites: LakersBlog ...

Pregame Stuart Scott asks D. Wade what advice he has for Kobe Bryant. Wade says Kobe needs to distribute the ball and get his teammates involved (I’m half expecting him to say “Hope for a ton of phantom foul calls in your favor.” He doesn’t.) I have a foreboding feeling about Game 6. Perkins won’t be at full strength (but at least he’ll play – frankly, I’d question his toughness if he ...

These are raw, totally unedited notes of Lakers at Celtics, NBA Finals Game 6, taken live at the game as the action happens.

NBA Finals Game 6 Live Blog — FanHouse
Kobe and the Lakers are back in Boston, where the NBA season will come to its conclusion either tonight or on Thursday. The Lakers are obviously hoping for the latter, after winning Game 5 and making the trip to the East coast, I'm sure they'd like to stay for a few days. The Celtics have plenty of things mounting against them: the injuries to Rondo and Perkins, Ray Allen's family situation, ...

TLN’s Finals Report: Lakers vs. Celtics [Game 5] — The Lakers Nation
I still believe!
The Lakers let another big lead slip away, but this time they had the last run and live to see at least another 48 minutes of NBA Finals Basketball.
It was a night where the Lakers didn’t have their ‘A’ game and allowed Pierce to seemingly get to the basket at will. Seems to me that the Celtics live and die by Pierce.
With about four minutes to go, ...

For those who love Worst of the Night, don't worry. I'm sure Bawful will take care of you.... Ok, onward... Is it me, or is the Lakers' Staples opening introduction the most lame, least intimidating production in the league? 1st Quarter 9:43, 1st - A driving Derek Fisher loses control of the ball, flops, and hits his head on a baseline camera. NBA Finals Game 5 First Half Live Blog [NBA Finals] — Deadspin
Whoa, sensei. The NBA Finals Game 5 gets to follow that . Much like when Tiger Woods was on the ropes, so are the LA Lakers, down 3-1 in the series. Kobe Bryant says the series is far from over. Boston would like very much to finish this series right now. The referees were instructed by their superiors to go somewhere in between the two. (OK, that's more of a rumor.) Follow the first 24 ...

Evil Ted Live Blog: Celtics-Lakers Game 4 — Basketbawful
Having been traveling with my family on a road trip all day, I'm cautiously looking forward to watching Game 4. I am wary, however, having read reports about Paul Pierce still feeling laid back and relaxed about the series, and saying inflammatory things like "We have the better team." Guess what, genius - Magic thought he had the better team in '84, and you know, he actually might have, but ...
Celtics Pull Off One Of The Biggest Comebacks In Finals History, Take Game Four — AwfulAnnouncing
I wrote the words "wow" and "unbelievable" about 50 times each in the live-blog, but really what else is there to say? The Celtics pulled off one of the biggest comebacks that I've ever seen and arguably one of the biggest in Finals history. They were down 22 at the end of the first, down 18 at the half, 20 in the third and the largest lead was 24.....on the road! Here's the clip show.... ...
NBA Finals Game 4 Live Thread: Celtics vs Lakers — FanIQ Blog
The line of thinking after Game 3 was that the Celtics certainly couldn't play any worse and should be set the rest of the series if Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce play to par. One fault there: what about Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol's continual shrinking acts? They've each got issues, but can play better.
We know Kobe will get his, but should just one of those two complimentary Lakers ...

Game 4’s kicking off — With Malice - An LA Lakers blog, news and opinions
Bias? Maybe, but I see the Lakers getting this one. The longer this goes, the fewer answers Doc has. Kobe’s coming alive… and maybe it’s just me, but I think the tandem of Gasol/Odom stop acting like they’re marshmallows.
