Copa Libertadores: Boca Juniors v Gremio
Published 6/13/2007 by Bob at The Offside
... . I haven t watched enough of either of these teams to in any way shape or form forecast what is going to happen, but if you put a gun to my head (please don t) I would say that Gremio is going to come out on top on aggregate 4-3. You can take that to the bank. Just don t ask for a refund. For those in North America, the action can be seen on Fox Sports Espanol, which I hear is a great channel to have if your local cable provider is kind enough to offer it. You can also try you luck watching the game online here . You know the crowd atmosphere will be electric and I suspect the games will be entertaining as they almost always are when teams from Brazil and Argentina clash. Here are a few more insightful and diligent previews of the 2007 Copa Libertadores final. Riquelme the Key for Boca ( ...

Copa America Day One: Let the Games Begin
Published 6/26/2007 by Bob at World Cup Soccer - South Africa 2010
... . Uruguay have brought a mostly European based team to the competition and are favored to win the group. They were just one game away from qualifying for the 2006 World Cup. They face a Peru side that might be capable of putting in a few goals with Diego Forlan, Jefferson Farfan and Claudio Pizarro in the mix. The other match of the day will see the host country Venezuela take on Bolivia. The pressure will be on Venezuela to advance out of the first round of the tournament, something they have never done before in the Copa America. Their team isn t exactly replete with household names, but they will have the home crowd and likely the referees behind them. Their opponent Bolivia is a longshot to advance out of the group. They bring a young, largely untested team to the competition. You can watch the games online here . Some Copa America news from the day: Forecasting the field ( ...

Sometimes they are in English, Japanese, French, whatever language it’s broadcasted in, but hey, commentating in Japanese can’t possibly be as bad as the commentators we have in the US. ... http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/ use the above link for live footage of game later. Gilberto still deserved better communication from wenger who is normally very good at this sort of thing. he will be fine and professional about it so all credit to Gilberto. so we have 3 central midfielders out and 2 strikers. these things are never spread around the team are they? I would actually take a score draw now to be honest but i think it is important to score a goal out there. If hleb plays all season in the no 10 role he would score 10 goals I am sure. but he probably wont play every game once ade and eduardo come back and he will put back on the wing. but maybe the left wing is better for him. la goon Says: ...
A Week of International Friendlies ahead
Published 8/20/2007 by Bob at World Cup Soccer - South Africa 2010
... round the world. In Euro 2008 qualifying, the big matches come to us courtesy of Group A where Poland is on top on Serbia, Portugal and Finland by five points. Poland have the round off which means that the three second place teams will be jockeying for position and hoping to close the gap. The tournament s other action this week features a game between the two bottom dwellers in Group D – Cyprus and San Marino, as well as a clash between Group F hopefuls Northern Ireland and Liechtenstein. Take your pick for the week s marquee friendly match. There is the contest between England and Germany at the new Wembley Stadium. Both sides are banged up and without many key players, but even with that being the case it is always a fun clash when those two countries play one another. There is also a rematch of the World Cup final with Italy and France squaring off. Tasty! Here is the schedule of action this week. All times are in GMT. Not sure as to the where abouts of Steve, but I will assume he will be live blogging the match, as he cant watch all the games he wants on the tele if he presses the red button! Is it sad I care more about the Santiago Bernabeu trophy next week then the Super Cup? Oh well, as long as Real plays better and Valencia plays the same it will be a cracker. Game is at 4pm eastern time, and will be on Fox Soccer Channel in the US. It will also be streamed here. ...
