Cubs fans left behind a reminder of their sentiments after another loss at Wrigley Field in 1997, above. At left, the Pittsburgh Pirates celebrate a World Series title after beating Baltimore in 1979. Orioles supporters were left with a quite different emotion. Lee Walls, at right in far left photo, gave at least one Cubs fan a brief moment of joy.
