Terry Francona dubbed last night's 11-inning loss (which has me a bit groggy this morning, having watched the final three innings) "heartbreaking." With all due respect to Terry, I disagree. This might be the most uplifting loss I've ever seen. The Red Sox should have lost this game. Not just because of the circumstances heading into it (those in a minute), but because of the game itself. ... [link]

Manny Ramirez Will Tune You Out.

If you recall, Ramirez caught some heat a few years ago when he wore Oakley Thumps, complete with in-ear mp3 player, during a Red Sox/Rangers game in July of 2005. Well, Manny must’ve thought everyone forgot about it, cause he was sporting them again last night in Oakland. Baseball obviously bores Manny.
