T he New Jersey Nets have now lost to the Celtics [ team stats ] twice in the course of a week. For a team that wasn t necessarily sold on the merits of the Celtics on paper during the preseason - Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson both tagged the Toronto Raptors as the best team in the Atlantic Division - the endorsements are now rolling in. We were only down by two at halftime on the road and ...

Boston Herald Celtics hard to fault. Losses leave Nets green with envy. Extras keep C's on role. Tony gets in gear at time. Green Bandwagon Note - Tony Allen is not at full speed yet. The good thing is he does not have to be. I still don't see him as a backup point guard. But he can slowly round in to shape and help this team. Ex-Eagle Williams finds a new home. Green Bandwagon Note - I'm a big Sean Williams fan to the point that I won't even make jokes about his past. Boston Globe Seven C's. Celtics Blog C's serve up another blowout. Loy's Place Don't ...
Doc Feeds the Team . . . and the Media
Celtics 17 —
After a perfect eight-and-oh record, Doc Rivers is doing what he can to keep this team hungry. But he drew the line Saturday night and chose to at least satiate the team’s gastronomical desires for the evening, since Marc Spears of The Globe reported that the Celtics flew to Orlando a day before Sunday’s game with the Magic. There in Orlando, Doc opened his home up to the team to entertain and serve the team dinner.
So Doc literally fed the team for one evening, but as a coach, you know he needs to feed the team’s motivation in some fashion pretty much every time they suit up for practice or a game. Except for this team. Doc’s duties aren’t exactly overloaded with ...

Celtics Have Other Players Besides the Big Three
sportsofboston.com 11/15/2007 — Last night’s game, in which the Celtics beat the Nets 91-69 to improve to 7-0, was probably the most important win of the season. Yes, more important than the overtime win against Toronto. In this game, the Big Three combined to score just 45 of the team’s 91 points (Garnett had 16, Pierce had 15, and Allen had 14). Three other players contributed big to give the C’s six ...
How the Hell…
redsarmy.wordpress.com 11/15/2007 — are the Celtics leading New Jersey after playing a half like that? After trailing by nine at one point, the C’s rallied to take a 36-34 lead at the break. Paul Pierce leads the way with 11 points. Ray Allen has 4 pts on 1-6 shooting.

Winning Ugly
shamrockheadband.blogspot.com 11/15/2007 — Sometimes, and it happens in all sports, a very good team is forced to "play down to their competition." Watching the first half of tonight's Celtics-Nets game, I sat there saying "man, this is ugly." The Nets were doing their thing - dragging a ...
Doc’s Stroke Of Genius
redsarmy.wordpress.com 11/15/2007 — The big knock on Doc Rivers has always been his substitution patterns. They never made sense.
This year, he’s looking like a genius.
It all has to do with the second quarter… and Paul Pierce.
Paul Pierce has pretty much spent his ...

mvn.com 11/15/2007 — [1] Celtics 91 Nets 69 A lot of folks wanted to believe the Nets would be up for tonight’s game, including Celtics part time color man, the always pessimistic Bob Cousy. Early on they were right. The Nets controlled much of the first half, putting the ...
