While perusing MLB.com in an apparently futile attempt to find something worth expending my recently acquired $50 MLB.com gift card on (I’m currently leaning towards this), I stumbled across MLB.com’s auction page. Their most highly touted items? The “Statues on Parade,” a series of 42 Major League Baseball-decorated Statue of Liberty replicas that were scattered throughout New York City to help promote the 79th Major League All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium.
