The online ballots have opened for the 2008 All-Star Game in New York on July 15. The surplus of outfielders for the Dodgers have left Matt Kemp off the ballot. That leaves Andruw Jones, Andre Ethier, and Juan Pierre. Then of course are the usually James Loney at first, Jeff Kent at second, Rafael Furcal at short, Nomar at third, and Russell Martin at catcher. Did anyone else have a chuckle when they saw this?  Vote for Ichiro.  Vote for Rauuuul.  Maybe send a couple write-in votes for Bad Wlad, and maybe Beltre and Lopez as well.  The rest don’t deserve much recognition.  I wonder if King Felix or the Cranky Canuck have a shot at the All-Star team.
