... guards have won the award a total of seven times: Bob Cousy (1957), Oscar Robertson (1964), Magic Johnson (1987, 1989, 1990) and Steve Nash (2005, 2006). There is some talk that Chris Paul had a unique or revolutionary season for a point guard but the reality is that while Paul has certainly had an excellent season other point guards have performed just as well and not even come close to winning the MVP, as I explain in my newest article for ProBasketballNews.com: Making a Point About MVPs
