The last time we saw Mark McGwire he was raising his right hand at the 2005 Congressional Hearing and not talking about the past.  Since that time he's stayed away from all things baseball waiting for the steroids controversy to die down.

Well, we may see him in uniform as early as next year...

Mark McGwire and some of his friends are testing the waters to see if MLB and the general public would be willing to accept the idea of McGwire returning to the big leagues, this time as a hitting instructor. Until McGwire comes clean and says a lot more than "I'm not here to talk about the past" MLB should continue to keep its distance from him.
