I’m not exactly sure what Dayton Moore and KC was thinking here, any ideas? They already have options at 1B (Butler, Shealy, etc.), and Jacobs isn’t exactly a great hitter. A .247 hitter, with a putrid .299 on-base percentage and questionable defense? No thanks. And to get him, you give up a 25-year old RP who throws in the mid-90’s?
