... I said before, Wilson is a league average offensive SS at best, so this isn't exactly a great idea either. Maybe i'm unreasonably optimistic about McDonald and Hu, but it's very likely that Hu alone will be close to what Wilson will do in the next 1-2 years, and he would be making 7 million less. Though I guess an argument could be made that Hu is expendable because Ivan DeJesus is a better SS prospect anyway. The newest rumor is that the Phillies are interested in Derek Lowe.
