Year four of the Los Angeles derby is set to begin on Saturday when the Los Angeles Galaxy takes on Chivas USA in the first installment of the SuperClasico. The first two years of the rivalry were anything but, with the Galaxy sweeping the series between the two teams. But last season was a different story, as Chivas USA took the series in emphatic fashion, winning the decisive game 3-0. There is still a bad taste in the mouths of some of the Galaxy players. "Losing that game 3-0, there's kind of a scar there," said Edson Buddle. "We're looking to dodge the same performance as last year and come out with an edge from this game." There ...

In case some of you haven't been paying attention, we'd like to get you up to speed on the whirlwind of Beckham Mania that has developed in the first month of the season, now continuing into Week 5... David Beckham made his first league goal in spectacular fashion in Week 2 of the season, and that was the first evidence of how great this season may be for him and his team.  Days after that first goal and an assist in the same game - a 2-0 win over San Jose - Becks was named MLS Player of the Week.
