Landon Donovan got his 100th cap, and played well, as did the entire USMNT against the world's number one ranked team. Tim Howard made many big saves, and Freddy Adu was a burst of energy as a late sub. The temperature on the pitch was at over 100 degrees F. at kickoff, but that did not deter the throngs who packed the stadium from expressing their exuberance, nor did it deter the players from giving it their best effort.
