I saw this over at Pinto’s blog and he makes a good point: I hope everything works out well for Don and his relatives. However, this makes the Yankees decision to hire Joe Girardi look even better. If this family problem is serious enough to take Don away from his coaching job, it would have been serious enough to distract him while managing a team. It’s a good point. Having said that, I hope all is okay with Donnie and his family and it’s a shame he won’t be on the bench with his pal Torre. His ...
