Rumors are floating around tonight that Dallas and Chris Webber are in talks and close to agreeing to a one-year deal that would either be worth the full $5.3 million mid-level exception or somewhere in the neighborhood of $3.5 million with the rest going to add another player. This is just a rumor at this point that was started by a Los Angeles radio station reports Bill Ingram of HoopsWorld.com. Various reports cited by a Los Angeles radio station have the Dallas Mavericks close to signing Detroit Pistons free agent forward Chris Webber to a one-year deal using their mid-level exception.
