ESPN’s Max Kellerman - some might say the Dick Vitale of boxing - wrote a rap song in 1994. It’s actually not terrible. Max Kellerman Was A Rapper? Unfortunately, Yes. (Fan IQ)

Max Kellerman Dropping Science, Knowledge, Etc. [The Gas Face]
Published 4/11/2008 by DAULERIO at Deadspin
Here's a pretty amusing video unearthed by the kids at Fan IQ, which features Max Kellerman, ex of just about every sports channel in every capacity, in his pre-WWL days doing his best 3rd Bass impersonation with his late brother Sam. (Sam, sadly, was viciously murdered back in '04. Gorgeous story by Gary Smith about that whole thing right here.) The hip-hop duo of "Sam & Max" was once a part of Ruffhouse/Columbia record label. Ruffhouse, as those of you in the 610/215 may know, was once headquartered in Conshohocken. (I actually interned there one summer and did many exciting things: I stood in a parking ...

Published 4/11/2008 by Josh Nason at Ropes, Ring and Cage
The fellerrrrrrs at Fan IQ have unearthed a gem: boxing analyst and former ESPN Around The Horn host Max Kellerman rapping. Yes, rapping. It appears Max and his late-brother were once a hip-hop duo called Sam and Max. (Ingenious, I know.) Fan IQ has the background, so you can click that link above for the rest of the story. Oh, man. This is great. Enjoy! This was originally found at Deadspin.

Young Max Kellerman Wants to Rumble, Yo
Published 4/13/2008 at The Sporting Blog
A rap video featuring HBO boxing analyst Max Kellerman has been making the blog-rounds today . It s a number called Young Man Rumble by the unfortunately named duo Max & Sam, Sam being Max s now-deceased brother Sam Kellerman. In respect to the departed, I probably wouldn t hate on this thing even if I felt it warranted hatin , but people, let me tell you something in Large s respectful opinion, it don t. Yeah, yeah, neither of the brothers K is a Lil Weezy in training, but I ve heard worse. Apparently the track was cut in 94 and it certainly sounds like it the beat is wacker than the m.c. s if you ask me, very low-grade Cypress Hill. Sam has a ...
