So, how is it that the Rangers and the Isles can play a game in which these two guys meet up after an incident like last April s hack job? Why does Chris Simon still have a job in the NHL? To underscore just how insane this disconnect between on-ice violence and the league s inability to grasp the seriousness of it we have the ridiculous hit that Steve Downie put on the oft-concussed Dean McAmmond which, rightfully, sparked a brawl between the Flyers and the Senators. For all you Sens fans out there who cried 0.44 secs! and Keep your head up! to us Sabres fans rightly outraged by the flagrant hit Chris Clown Shoes Neil put on Chris Drury last February, all I can say is, Well, that Karma s a bitch ain t it.
