McGrady Might Miss Two More Weeks
McGrady Might Miss Two More Weeks
by Tom Ziller for FANHOUSE: Houston originally believed Tracy McGrady's latest malady -- a nasty bone bruise on his knee -- would keep the star out about a week. He's already missed two games with the injury, won't play against Golden State tonight, and could miss up to two more weeks, reports the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen.

I don't follow. The doctors told him three weeks. He related that to the media?

Whether he's injury-prone, I think, is a fair question. But why do people doubt his knee really hurts? You think he'd rather be in a suit than a jersey?

Lots of things may "hurt" - but he's not injured.  I think his feelings are hurt that the team and the offense are playing better in his absence right now.

      he's not injured

I'm unclear as to how/why you are certain of this. Because he's been injured before? Because you know his personality/emotional state abnormally well?

He's "hurt" - as in he has a bone bruise.  That doesn't mean he's injured and cannot play.  There are no ligaments torn.  Or bones broken.  Or joints that are severed.  He's confirmed this... he's just hurting.

Do you think Kobe would miss 7 games due to a "bone bruise"?  I think not.

There's a bone bruised. That's an injury. I don't know if you've ever tried to play professional basketball with one of those, but I have, and it's rough.

    KOBE IS A PUSSY.

Kobe missed one game.  T-Mac has missed 2... and upwards of 7 more.

Does that make T-Mac a 9-times larger pussy than Kobe?

(and, in actuality, I'm just really bummed that it is year 4 of Yao/T-Mac and we have yet to have a healthy season from both... 2004/05 being the closest)

Kobe's was on his shin. The knee is about five times more about to human functionality than the shin.

I get that you're pissed about T-Mac, but don't take it out on him. That's the meaning of fan allegiance?

That is not the formula for success
The Dream Shake — Thank God it is 2008 - for 2007 could not have been more disappointing and frustrating if you were a member of the Houston Rockets. Monday night's effort and result was a metaphor for the entire season to date. Start strong, look impressive... then go limp and lose to Golden State. In the process, we may have stumbled upon an anti-formula. Whereas the ...

Hardwood Paroxysm — Thank God that's over. There's only so much "Fa la la la la", Turducken, and champagne we can take. Now, where were we? Ah, yes. So, we really wish people would stop saying Skiles should be fired. His team's in a severe funk, and he's admittedly having issues with playings Thomas and Noah, but I mean, you can't fire the guy after the turnaround he's pulled without a franchise play...what?! F*ck. Okay, well, we just want to say that the way Portland is playing right now, it's pretty clear that they could conceivably win 20 in a row. I mean, they've been UNSTOPPABLE (which we'll come back to later) lately, and really, we can't see them losing any ...
