PIT Post-Gazette: McLouth’s ninth-inning blast ignites Pirates One of these days, Nate McLouth is going to come back and touch Terra Firma. Not quite yet, apparently. He stepped to the plate with two outs in the ninth inning, his team down a run, two aboard and one of the game’s finer closers, Los Angeles’ Takashi Saito, on the mound. Crack! Three-run home run. Thirteen-game hitting streak. And, after closer Matt Capps went 1-2-3 in the bottom half for his fourth save, the Pirates had their most uplifting victory of the young season, 6-4, last night at Dodger Stadium. ...
