The NCAA championship game is set. The two best teams in the nation will square off Monday night in San Antonio to determine the king of college basketball.
The Memphis Tigers will face the Kansas Jayhawks, a school with a rich tradition. Memphis and Kansas are so closely matched, it's difficult to tell the teams apart.

I’m not trying to rub salt in the wounds of the Memphis faithful, or be overtly nasty — I was kind of pulling for them just so Tennessee could say they beat the National Champion three years in a row. Be that as it may, the Memphis Tigers lost to Kansas in convincing Memphis style — a/k/a by being completely unable to hit free-throws down the stretch.

It wasn't the free throws that did them in folks. Kansas shot 52.7% from the field compared to Memphis' 40.3. They also outrebounded the Tigers by a margin of 37-27. Memphis made 12-19 free throws compared to Kansas' 14-15.
