Apparently we're going to play some baseball today.
Kevin Devaney here, filling in for John Delcos, as the Mets open up a three-game series with the Nationals at Shea. The forecast was for thunderstorms and heavy wind. I'm here at Shea now and all we've got are the gusts.
The tarp is on the field but it probably hasn't rained in well over an hour. Odds are there will be a game.

Blog: Game On, Bostick Up?

At his blog for the Journal News, Kevin Devaney states tonight’s game is still a on.
Devaney also notes, if the game is not postponed the Mets will likely call up LHP Adam Bostick to make the start on Wednesday.
Bostick is 2-1 with a 3.83 ERA with 26 K and 16 BB in nine games, eight starts, this season for Triple-A New Orleans.
