The NYPost is reporting that the Mets have signed former Tampa Bay Ray reliever Al Reyes to a minor league contract. Reyes was 2-2 with a 4.37 ERA this year while pitching for Tampa.
Reyes has good stuff, and could serve as a nice setup man for whoever closes for this team in the absence of Billy Wagner.
