Giants Hire New Director of College Scouting

... Prior to replacing Ernie Accorsi as the Giants General Manager, Jerry Reese worked in the scouting department as the Director of Player Personnel. As of yesterday that position no longer exists. Instead the Giants opted to open a new position; Director of College Scouting. Apparently the duties are almost identical but they felt it needed a name change. Either way, it did not take them very long to find someone for the job. According to Giants.com, the team has hired former Buffalo Bills scout Marc Ross . "I'm extremely excited about the opportunity to work with this organization and also work with Jerry," Ross said. "I hope I can be a part of getting this organization back to the Super Bowl." Ross has been in the NFL for 11 years, spending the last three in Buffalo as a National College Scout. All indications are that he's very savvy and extremely intelligent. ... Former Bills scout Marc Ross has joined the New York Giants as the team's Director of College Scouting. Ross had been an integral part of the Bills' scouting services for the past three seasons and has spent 11 years as a scout in the NFL. Ross also was the Director of College Scouting in Philadelphia prior to his stint in Buffalo; he took that job when he was just 27. Ross is young, very bright and should do a great job in New York.
