Michael Jordan Hits a Soft Spot
No matter what you do, not matter what the goal is, if you don’t work hard enough, you won’t succeed. Michael Jordan has released a new commercial through NIKE that has really hit me. The effect of this commercial hopefully will be huge for the young kids out there. As a more mature young adult, I clearly understand everything that Michael Jordan says in this “Become Legendary” commercial.

I disagree.     The ad will have zero effect on youth, other than having them go out and shell out mad jack for overpriced sneakers.    If he really had youth in mind, he would make his shoes affordable, so inner city kids would not have to scrounge for whatever his gear costs.    It is a well-crafted ad, for Nike's gain.     This is not a public service announcement.

Evidence has been mounting that since high OPS players are now valued around baseball, those players are no longer cost efficeint, but the exact opposite. One team that has capitalized on this trend is the Dodgers, whose young and talented roster is made up of "anti-Moneyballers," athletic players with little to no college experience and ...
