Former West Virginia basketball coach John Beilein has made a $290,000 payment on a $1.5 million settlement for leaving for Michigan a year ago with five years remaining on his contract.
The first of five annual payments of $300,000 was due April 3, according to a letter obtained by The Charleston Daily Mail through the Freedom of Information Act that Beilein wrote April 1 to WVU President ...

Michigan... .. scUM has gotten themselves into a real pickle by hiring the Coaches from WV. They aren’t “Michigan Men”, and the Blue Mafia will eventually run them out of town. Too Much baggage with Coach Rich Rod, Not sure he’ll run a Clean program like Lloyd or Bo… Only Time will tell…… But I think the Maze and Blue is Bruised… These hires were not thought through well enough.
