Quick excerpt from when I called Corn after last night's Suns-Lakers game: Corn: Hello? Matt: So the Lakers are the greatest team ever, and they'll never lose again, and they'll win every game from here on out, and Kobe Bryant is the MVP of the universe. Jesus, Kobe is good. Corn: Yup. Pretty much. Pure Point's got an excellent quick breakdown of the Hornets-Rockets trade. Always nice when your fans make the trip. To chant for your dismissal. Oh, Jesus. Headbands. Here we go again. By the way, Jeremy ...

Allright, kiddos. Here's the open thread for any trades that go on. We were going to set the over/under last night at 2.5, but the Rockets and Hornets got ahead of me. So we'll count that. Counting the Rockets/Hornets trade this morning, you want the ...Trade: Bonzi Wells for Bobby Jackson

...and the Grizzlies are a small part of it. New Orleans is trading former Grizzlies player Bobby Jackson and Adam Haluska to Houston for former Grizzlies player Bonzi Wells and Mike James. Houston also has the option of switching 2nd rd picks. To make the deal work Memphis is taking Marcus Vinicius from New Orleans. When was the last time ANYONE can remember that three teams from the same ...Rockets sending Wells to Hornets?

The New Orleans Hornets have been determined to get Chris Paul a backup that'll ease his burden, fearful that he is logging just too many minutes this season. For that reason, the Hornets are seriously considering a trade with the Houston Rockets that would bring point guard Mike James and Bonzi Wells to New Orleans for Bobby Jackson , Adam Haluska and Marcus Vinicius , two league sources ...An ode to Bobby Jackson, Marcus Vinicius and Adam Haluska

Trades happen, players come and go. But before we close the book on the teal careers of Bobby Jackson, Marcus Vinicius and Adam Haluska, let's spend a minute looking back at the good times we enjoyed with these guys on the team. For me, this is what stands out when I think of the guys we just traded... Bobby Jackson Dude was tough and did his job like a professional. Or perhaps he wasn't given a vote in the first place, since, you know, he is a player and all. One way or the other, Tracy McGrady isn't thrilled regarding the Rockets' new acquisition of Bobby Jackson -- or at least Jackson's price. The Rockets gave up point guard Mike James and swingman Bonzi Wells in exchange for the back-up point guard from New Orleans, and the departure of the ...Trade Deadline Day

The trade deadline officially came and went, and there were actually some deals at the buzzer . The Blazers were involved in one, which I'll get to later (it might get dusty in here). But first let us acknowledge those former Blazers shipped off yet again today: Everyone's favorite metrosexual undersized shooting guard Juan Dixon traded from Toronto to Detroit for Primo Brezec. I always liked ...Bobby Jackson to Houston for Mike James and Bonzi Wells

There is a bunch of other stuff thrown in here and another team is involved, but it is basically Houston jettisoning the awful contract of Mike James and the assholishness of Bonzi Wells for the likeable Bobby Jackson (who knows Rick Adleman's ways and gets along with everyone). New Orleans certainly should be helped by Wells, but I doubt James gets much run. I never understood why a Rick ...Bye Bye Bobby

So Bobby Jackson is gone. I liked Bobby. I liked the way he played in Sacramento, I liked the way he was a gamer. I liked it when he went after the increasingly soft Tracy McGrady one time for being a buttmunch. Now, Bobby gets to play with that buttmunch. Sorry Bobby. Now it's time to figure out what we have in Bonzi Wells and Mike James. I'll admit it - I ...Trade Deadline: Super Deluxe

By Craig Kwasniewski New Orleans hits the panic button and trades Bobby Jackson for Bonzi Wells and Mike James . Flat out, that's an incredibly stupid move!!! First off, Bonzi Wells is a cancer!!!! The trade deadline has passed in the NBA as of 3:00 p.m. EST Thursday, and there is no word at the present time about any last minute deals.
