Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins Video | Ducks Derrick Ward, Quits on Play, Misses Tackle
Midwest Sports Fans —
All day today while listening to sports talk radio in Dallas I heard references to rookie Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins completely quitting on a play and ducking Giants RB Derrick Ward. I figured it was just typical overreaction from the Dallas media after a Cowboys loss.
Umm…I don’t think anyone was overreacting.
The video evidence of Mike Jenkins completely wussing out is available for your viewing pleasure below. FYI — the second view at the end of the video is much more damning.
I must warn you, this video does contain visual evidence of an NFL player completely misplacing his testicles. If there ...

Like many of you, I saw the Giants manhandle the Cowboys on Sunday. Their first three touchdowns came on passes by Eli Manning, but the running game got the last two. Absolute man-child Brandon Jacobs bowled some people over to make it 28-7 — something not unfamiliar for Jacobs. But it’s the final touchdown scored by the Giants that leaves the total blackeye for the Cowboys. As pointed out by NFL Primetime, check out this absolute phantom tackle job by Cowboys rookie cornerback Mike Jenkins. He’s the guy at the top of the screen wearing #31 that completely avoids ...
Michael Jenkins Of Dallas Cowboys Doesn't Tackle Derek Ward Of Giants

If you ever needed video proof that the Cowboys are going nowhere this year, and most certainly won't be playing in the Super Bowl, all you need to do is watch this above clip and pay attention to No. 31 Michael Jenkins of Dallas.
Watch as he, well, basically decides to just not tackle Derek Ward. Hell, even Deion Sanders used to make more of an effort to tackle guys than that.
Maybe Jenkins has Ward on his fantasy team, that's my best guess.
But it's clear that something is now completely wrong with the Dallas Cowboys. They basically look like they don't even ...

LOOKING FOR A SILVER LINING: Rob Lee's story today about the Patriots' inability to stop teams in the red zone -- New England is 30th in the NFL in red-zone defense -- came as a surprise to me. An equally important stat, though, is the number of times a team allows its opponents to reach the red zone. In that category, the Patriots rank 10th in the NFL. Of the top 10 teams in that stat category, only one -- the Houston Texans -- does not have a winning record. A LESSON FOR THE COWBOYS: Dallas may have been in trouble even before Tony Romo broke his pinkie, but the team has blown up since Romo's injury, and now everyone in Big D is waiting for ...

I never did understand why the Cowboys were such a chic pick for the Super Bowl this year. They had the same cast back as last year -- with the addition of alcoholic criminal Pacman Jones -- which couldn't win even a single home playoff game. They are in the best division in football, which also includes the defending champs, who didn't get worse or anything. And yet everyone on any major network seemed to be picking the Cowgirls go all the way. ...
Mike Jenkins (Dallas Cowboys) Commits Worst Missed Tackle, Ever

“Football isn’t a contact sports, it’s a collision sports. Dancing is a contact sport.” That quote has been attributed to various coaches ranging from Duffy Daugherty to Woody Hayes. Who said it doesn’t matter. It’s an accurate statement to the attitude need to play football. Somehow this was lost on the Dallas Cowboys rookie cornerback Mike Jenkins . I realize this is a few days old, but check out this video above of Jenkins attempt to tackle Derrick Ward of the New York Giants. And by attempt, I mean no attempt whatsover. In the words of Keyshawn Johnson, C’MOM man . What would his former college coach Jim Leavitt have to say about that? Pretty ...
Cowboys Michael Jenkins Goes 'Tackling Optional' on Derrick Ward TD Run
FanHouse —
Filed under: Cowboys, Giants, NFC East, NFL FansThe Cowboys get a one-week respite from their current tailspin, but there's plenty to fix before the team resumes their quest to not win a playoff game since 1996. For starters, quarterback Tony Romo needs to get healthy, the offensive line needs to play more consistently, and the defense has to start making tackles. And that that last point can't be stressed enough. The defensive wretchedness has been obscured by the Brad Johnson One Man Circus, but I think this pretty much sums things up. Keep an eye on rookie cornerback Michael ...
'Boys Michael Jenkins Was Waiting for Somebody Else to Tackle Giants Derrick Ward

Filed under: Cowboys, Giants, NFC East, NFL Fans Yesterday I posted the moving pictures proof of Cowboys rookie cornerback Michael Jenkins pretending to be a statue while Giants running back Derrick Ward blew past him on his way to the end zone. To be fair, the game was already out of hand and perhaps in the spirit of self-preservation, Jenkins decided against risking injury. Or maybe he just doesn't like contact. (Also acceptable: disoriented, hungover, narcoleptic, fatalistic). "I was just waiting on the safety to ...

"I was just waiting on the safety to make a play. It just looked different. I really can't explain it. I wasn't the only one there. Everybody's pointing it out like it was me, but there was a safety back there, too." Those are the words of Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins regarding the phantom tackle attempt last Sunday against New York (see video above). It was a shitty move and a shitty way of handling it. A man, someone who is truly keeping it real would just admit that he flubbed the play and it would not happen again. Story done. The ...
