I could not agree more.  Any chance they'd take a flier on Magic too?

We do need an experienced backup point guard to mentor Rondo, and I think Bob Cousy would be willing to play for a hometown discount. Danny should get on the phone.

Seriously though, we go from having Leon Powe starting games to possibly having 4 potential Hall of Famers on the same team? What the hell is going on? Crazy prediction for next year - Pirates vs. Royals World Series.

I think Reggie is one of the greats, but seriously, he doesn't need to come back.  18 years is enough.  Seems like all these guys want to come back:  Kemp, Pippen, Rodman, Miller, Jordan, and the list goes on.  What for?  You left your mark on the game Reggie, don't try to ride a team to a chip.

Just When you Thought The Celtics Couldn't Get Older
SimonOnSports — ... They contact Reggie Miller about coming out of retirement. First off Reggie Miller was one of my favorite players when he played, partly because he was a complete dick at times, partly because he tortured Knick fans but mostly because he was so damn clutch. He would hit the most ridiculous shots to win games for the Pacers, the only problem was he was their best player every year. And he never had someone his equal on his team so they never came close to surpassing the Bulls or winning a title. ...

'I wouldn't bet against Reggie in anything,' Walsh said. 'I know he can still shoot. That I know. Other than that, I don't know.' Haywoode Workman, a former teammate of Miller's with the Pacers, also supported the notion. 'I think he can still shoot it,' Workman said on WNDE-1260 AM. 'That's all he needs. Just go to his favorite corner and shoot it. With the team they've assembled now, I think it would be a good mix.'" ...

So the Celtics are already annointed as the likely champs in the Eastern Conference, all but assured of winning 50+ games with the dominant trio of KG, Pierce, and Ray Allen. Earlier in the week, reports surfaced that former Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller is contemplating leaving the booth at TNT to join the Boston Celtics for one last shot at a title. All 3 of those Celtics are better than the Wizards big 3 by lightyears (lightyears?) but they just aren't the Wizards. We took Michael Jordan and made him bigger than ever. We made George Muresaun a Hollywood Legend. We made Manute Bol a world class boxer. We can do it all. I really love you Reggie Miller. I would love you on the Wizards. Just so you know, you won't score 8 points in 11 seconds in Boston. But you will score 8 points in 2 seconds in DC.
