(from MLSPhilly2010.com) The official site of the 2010 Philadelphia expansion team for Major League Soccer invites you to check out all that's happening in the coming weeks, as we near the one-year countdown to the franchise and stadium debut in Chester ! --- The fans will next be able to vote on the team's name online. Fan input determined the name of the 2009 expansion team, Seattle Sounders FC, and we feel that the fans' voices will once again be heard on the selection of the name for the Philadelphia team. --- The fans were a big part of the process in getting Philly to secure the 16th MLS franchise, as well as playing a role in convincing investors and developers to build a soccer-specific venue that could guarantee a 2010 MLS debut, far ahead of - and much more quickly - than many of the other cities making their own concerted efforts to get their own coveted place at the table.
