While the Orangewomen lost to number one UConn by six last night, it was a hard fought game and Syracuse didn't back down.
Leave it up to classy Geno Auriemma to offer this backhanded compliment after the game:

Syracuse v. Rutgers - What I Learned
idiotsonsports.blogspot.com 1/17/2008 — Syracuse destroyed Rutgers last night 81-59 - and make no mistake about it, every win is a good win, so T3I are certainly happy about the results, however that game didn't tell us a whole lot. Here's what this idiot learned:
Cahek! Presutti! It's Syracuse Basketball!
nunesmagician.blogspot.com 1/17/2008 — When Ryan Cahek, Jake Presutti and Justin Thomas figure prominently in a Syracuse game, things are either really really good or really really bad. Throw in this Rutgers basketball team however and you can rest easy knowing the Orange won handily 81-59.

Head coach Greg Robinson said Wednesday afternoon that both players were suspended for the spring semester but could ...

mvn.com 1/18/2008 — Syracuse played a good game, bringing their record to 13 and 5 (3-2 in the Big East), as they took care of Rutgers (8-10, 0-5 BE) by the score of 81 to 59. This is the positive side of the story, the negative is that it was Rutgers and it was a home game and if the Orange had lost this game “panic” mode would have hit Central New York faster than Jonny Flynn can run down the court.

SYRACUSE - Jonny Flynn scored 24 points, Donte Greene had 19, and Syracuse beat Rutgers 81-59 last night to snap a two-game losing streak. Syracuse (13-5, 3-2 Big East), which lost 81-61 at West Virginia on Sunday and 74-66 at Cincinnati the...
