Mister Mittens — Former Panther Curtis Whitley passed away sometime Monday, according to both the Cha-town Observer and N&O. Whitley started all 16 games for the Cats in 1995 and started half the season in ‘96 before being suspended by the league. There’s not much more you can say — other than to express condolences and prayers to his family — about a guy who, from all accounts, struggled mightily with substance abuse while he was in the league.
