More Shockey rumblings - NJ.com: Ledger on the Giants
Once again, there is a report stating the Saints are trying to trade for Giants TE Jeremy Shockey. This time, it's SI's Peter King , who wrote today: 9. I think, Giant beat writers, you might sniff around this one: New Orleans is not through trying to acquire Jeremy Shockey. When PK says, "Jump," I say, "How high?" (Even though my agent told me to wait for my pro day.) I did some sniffing ...

A Little More on That Neverending Shockey-to-Saints Rumor
FanHouse — Filed under: NY Giants, Saints, New Orleans, New YorkEarlier today, MDS brought you word suggesting that the Giants/Saints talks regarding Jeremy Shockey were far from done. So Mike Garafolo of my hometown Newark Star-Ledger decided to do a little investigating. I did some sniffing around and came up with very little. Not saying nothing's cooking, just that there aren't signs of it. All I know is what I heard recently - that the Saints' original offer was a second-round pick (No. 40 overall, if ...

Saints Made an Offer For Shockey
Mets Prospects Minors Blog | MetsProspectus.comStar-Ledger: "I did some sniffing around and came up with very little. Not saying nothing's cooking, just that there aren't signs of it. All I know is what I heard recently - that the Saints' original offer was a second-round pick (No. 40 overall, if it was this year's pick they offered) and S Roman Harper, their second round pick in '06. The Giants said, "Nah." So unless NO is reloading for another run at Shockey, nothing's cooking on that front. And believe me, if they plan on prying Shockey from the ...

SAINTS STILL AFTER SHOCKEY?
ProFootballTalk.com — Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger , acting on the advice of Peter King in his MMQB column, has done some sniffing around regarding the interest of the New Orleans Saints in Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey. Per Garafolo, the Saints previously  offered a second-round pick and safety Roman Harper .  The Giants said, “No thanks.” The real question is whether the Saints will try again.  King apparently thinks they will.  Based on some of the things we’ve heard on the grapevine, we agree. As always, stay tuned.

Jeremy Shockey is available if you're willing to grossly overpay
Shutdown Corner — Ever since Eli Manning decided to put on the big boy pants in Jeremy Shockey's absence, there's been talk that the Giants would or could trade Shockey. More recently, that talk has focused on Shockey heading to the Saints, where his giant eagle/flag tattoo wouldn't match his uniform nearly as well. Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger reported that the Saints offered safety Roman Harper and a 2nd-round pick for Shockey. Pro Football Talk says that wasn't the case, but it was the Giants who asked for Harper and the 2nd-rounder, and ...
