I didn't think he'd get a 4 th year and if he did I thought that Ainge would bite the bullet and offer it to him. But he didn't and Posey will now play for the New Orleans Hornets. First, let's take a look at the good news. He won't be playing for the Pistons, Cavs, Wizards, or any other Eastern Conference team next year. Posey is one of the few players in the league for which stats really don't seem to do much justice at all. He can be vastly superior than what his PER indicates. Dang nab it! James Posey signed with the Hornets yesterday, to the tune of $25M over 4 years. It’s not that he didn’t like like being a Celtic, he just followed the money like a Hornet to a piece a hamburg sitting at the picnic table. He’s going to have his financial security well into retirement, and could even challenge for more NBA championships with Chris Paul and Co. Not a bad gig at all for the 31-year old forward.
