Ian Snell’s 2008 record stands at 2-1 with an ERA in the 4.50 range. He is 0-1 vs. the Mets with a 6.11 career ERA in four appearances (three starts). The Mets as a collective group are 19-69 vs. Snell and no one has hit him particularly well, save Endy Chavez who is 3-3. Snell has struck out 22 of the current Mets against issuing just five walks.

On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Pirates released veteran right-handed pitcher Matt Morris. This closes a book on one of the hardest-to-understand deals that I can remember.
