Move Over, Duke - UCLA The New Foul Favorite?
Duke bashers, don’t worry about the Blue Devils’ exit from the tourney. If you’re looking for a new foul-favored villain to root against, try UCLA. The Bruins already had some questionable last-second wins over Stanford and California late in the regular season. And SbBer KT sends over some photographic proof that the refs blew another call to the benefit the Bruins.  ... [link]

Enough Whining Over UCLA Non-Calls
Published 3/24/2008 by Larry Brown at Larry Brown Sports
That seems to be the theme around college hoops lately — UCLA and all the great calls they’ve received from officials. Sure, I admitted they benefited against Stanford and Cal down the stretch, but people are now bringing up the Texas A&M game as well. First it was a co-worker saying there was a non-call, then an email, and then a few different stories and message boards suggesting as much. Let me say a few things on the subject. Sure — the photos indicate there was a foul ...

Do LA Teams Have The Refs Hypnotized? [I See No Foul Here]

Another look at the last play of that UCLA-Texas A&M; game that you may not have seen. I know that the rule of thumb among college basketball officials is that if a shooter is hit with two or fewer arrows during the last 30 seconds of play, then ...

Western Kentucky Mounting Comeback Against a Foul Troubled UCLA
Since I last talked to you , Western Kentucky has made a run on UCLA. After trailing by 21 at the half, the Hilltoppers have outscored the Bruins 29-15 in the second half to trail (as I write this) by nine. There is under 9:00 left in the game. How did they do this? Get UCLA in foul trouble. Russell Westbrook , Darren Collison and Josh Shipp have all got four fouls apiece. Because those guys ...
The Worst "No-Call" of All-Time
From ESPNs Jay Bilas: Worst No Call: At the end of the UCLA-Texas A&M game, Donald Sloan drove the lane for a potential game winning shot. Sloan was fouled. There is no question about it. A foul should have been called by the officials, and the shooter should have been protected. UCLA's Josh Shipp clearly hit Sloan on the arm on the shot, and the officials either missed it or chose ...
Photo of the Weekend: UCLA "Non-Foul" on Texas A&M's Donald Sloan
I'm still not over this image (found on Rush the Court via Deadspin ) from Saturday night's UCLA-Texas A&M game. The last thing that should surprise anyone is a final second call going UCLA's way, but now it's getting out of hand. We may have to classify a bruin as a member of the felid family, as they're currently working on their fourth life. I'm always in favor of letting ...
UCLA's Non-Foul, And Huggy Bear Sober In The Sweet 16 [West Regional Breakdown]
We had no idea there were so many Texas A&M; basketball fans out there, but boy, has our inbox been full with people sending us the above photo . Yeah: That kind of looks like a foul. Of course, guessing what would have happened if a foul would have been called, and how that would have all went down, is one of those empty games we all play with ourselves to pretend there's some sort of ...

Refs better step it up
Again the refs blow a call. The refs are clearly on the spotlight starting today with the NCAA Tournament starting. There have been questionable and downright terrible calls in the past month. Plays ranging from Stanford v. UCLA with the supposed foul when Stanford made a clean block and then UCLA again [...]
