His new teammates talk of a player who can pop out after setting picks and hit open jumpers, and take pressure off Jermaine O'Neal by hitting mid-range jumpers when O'Neal is double-teamed. Darrell Armstrong, who played against Murphy frequently the past three seasons in the Western Conference, describes him as "almost a Dirk Nowitzki-type shooter."
