Britain’s Andy Murray certainly is keeping his head, despite having sent 15,000 Centre Court fans into a state of pandamonium with his five-set marathon over Richard Gasquet.
French number eight seed Gasquet was totally shell-shocked when he came off the court. There were no such emotions for Murray however, who was his usual down-to-earth self as he sat back to relax with a plate of sushi.
The last British hopes have been dashed by an all conquering conquestidor. Andy Murray is out of the Championships, beaten by Rafael Nadal in straight sets. To make things worse, Murray was not so much beaten, but more battered and bruised for close to 2 hours. It was something out of an action slash horror slash tennis movie. If there could be such a thing.
