. . . in 1987, before the advent of the Bad Boys, Mr. Johnson was just an everyday sixth man. I was 9 years old. My father, a car salesman, was selling Fords at the biggest dealer in Phoenix and the upstart Pistons were in town to play the lowly Suns.
