... Yeah, this was probably one of the more ridiculous things to ever find in my inbox: an early-1990s video of Myron Cope rapping about the Pirates to the tune of MC Hammer's You Can't Touch This. Myron really gets into character, with a crooked Pirate hat, huge chain, and backup dancers. ...

Then everything made perfect sense. By the way, the dude in the video is Myron Cope, inventor of the Terrible Towel and the famed voice of the Steelers (although I'm not sure why). The Hammer pants, however, I cannot speak for. [HT: Bugs & Cranks and With Leather]

... The third one was right down the middle and he didn't even move. Fred bailed him out quickly, though. ------ Ian Snell hit maybe the hardest ball I've seen him hit...ever. He got his 2nd career double. -- The win (our 4th in a row-tying a season high) moves us to just 3 under .500 (16-19) and 5 back in the division. -------------------------- Not really related to the game or anything, but this is just awesome. Possibly the GOAT: Myron Cope Raps
When the great Pittsburgh broadcaster Myron Cope passed away in February, one thought went through my head: “Damn shame that crazy Yinzer didn’t create an early 90s Pirates rap set to the tune of MC Hammer’s ‘Can’t Touch This.’ Damn shame, man.” Little did I know, Cope did just that, 18 years ago: It’s almost futile to ...
