Autism Speaks More Than Just Another Sponsor

... photo by Streeter Lecka, Getty Images As TGOM mentioned in power rankings today, both Jamie McMurray's car and the race itself will carry the Autism Speaks logo and message this weekend at Dover. Generally, at the FanHouse we don't run an advertising blog for sponsors and such, but I've got to say that the people in Dover, Visa and at Roush-Fenway racing that have teamed to bring this event to light are incredible. TGOM already told you that McMurray's driver suit and helmet will be auctioned after the race to benefit, and I'll fill in a little more. McMurray has started his Jamie McMurray Foundation which works hand-in-hand with the Autism Society of America. McMurray's compassion for the program comes from the disease hitting very close to home for the Roush driver. His 9-year-old niece has autism. McMurray's Roush-Fenway Ford Fusion will sport the Autism Speaks paint scheme, something that
