... against playoff contenders. Gilbert Arenas is getting frustrated with his drawn-out comeback attempt, and it looks like the new target date is April 2 at home . While Holly 's heart is pulling for Gil (and filled with love for CP3 these days), Dan Steinberg gets in some clothing commentary . The Rockets ' week ended with a Sun burn , as Amare Stoudemire had a near-record night from the free-throw line. The Suns seem less dependent on Steve Nash . Also, Ian Thomsen takes a close look at Houston's ...

Checking in With Bright Side of the Sun
Published 3/25/2008 by Jim at Green Bandwagon: Front Page Posts
Tomorrow is one of the biggest games left on Boston's regular season schedule. In anticipation of it I am kicking things off a day early by exchanging some questions with TexSun from Bright Side of the Sun. My responses will be up there at some point. But for now let's learn some more about the Phoenix Suns. Green Bandwagon: Over a month and a half has passed since the Shaq deal was officially announced. How do you feel about it now? Bright Side of the Sun: It took a while, but at least for the here and now, the Suns look like they're clearly a better team than they were before the trade. They are much less ...

How the Other Side Thinks: TS Drops Suns Knowledge
Published 3/26/2008 at CelticsBlog
A Daily Babble Production For whatever reason, Bright Side of the Sun 's TexSUN just seems to bring out the worst in me. Back when I hosted the 48th Carnival of the NBA in August at Taking it to the Rack , I linked to a beautifully written piece by TS and attempted to provide a compliment in the form of "Props, good sir." Little did I know that "sir" wouldn't be the best possible label for TexSUN, given that TS is, alas, a female. Ah, the wonders of the Internet. Somehow, I overcame my initial bit of foolishness and ignorance to be able to move forward with some very pleasant basketball discussions with Tex. We chatted on a ...

Suns Fall Flat to Celtics (117-97)
Published 3/27/2008 by TexSUN <info@brightsideofthesun.com> at Bright Side Of The Sun: Front Page Posts
I feel like I just stepped into a science fiction movie and traveled a month into the past. The February Suns made an appearance tonight, and if you were watching the Suns in those first weeks after the Shaq trade last month, then you know that's not a good thing. Fresh off a competitive loss to a Pistons team that delivered one of the most embarrassing losses of the season a month ago, the Suns laid a king-size ostrich egg against the Celtics tonight against whom, ironically, they looked good in Shaq's second game after the trade. So what the heck happened? Well, for one thing, the Suns looked like they had a serious case of the "no ...

The Pistons lost their second straight game Sunday night in Washington 95-83 . NBA Short Story: When Two Rookies Met an All-Star Veteran in a Metro-Detroit Palace

It has to feel at least a little bizarre walking onto an NBA court as a rookie and for the first time playing against an NBA Icon you grew up controlling in video games and watching on TV. Could you imagine actually getting out there in the open court, cameras flashing and drunken face-painters screaming, and really guarding, say, Steve Nash?
