NBA owners owe a huge debt of gratitude to David Stern. He managed to negotiate an extension of the TV deals for 8 years with a 20% increase to about $930 million a year while the ratings tanked and the league's popularity is falling. All he had to do was give away all of the digital media rights now existing and what may be created in the future. [link]
