BostonsportZ — ... Maybe Doc’s tirade isn’t the worst thing for this team (although I am, admittedly biased, as I find periodic episodes of intense verbal abuse to be quite cathartic). Such emotional outbursts have a tendency to light a fire where stagnation has set in. Lord knows that Celtics fans have watched Rivers be completely unengaging for long enough. But other than a sudden surge in motivation, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot the Boston Celtics can do this season to elevate their level of game play to the position of assured dominance that fans used to enjoy.
