The NBA announced that they have suspended referee Joey Crawford for "improper conduct" during the game between the Mavs and the Spurs last Sunday. Crawford ejected Tim Duncan for simply laughing on the bench , and later Duncan told reporters that Crawford challenged him to a fight during the game. ... showing what a bunch of crybabies the Spurs are, and yet their fans are still in denial. The league today gave Whiny Tim a vote of confidence by suspending Joey Crawford for that ridiculous technical he gave Timmy on Sunday. As I said at the time, that was a bad call, but it was probably based on years of Timmy's crying, and Crawford probably had all he could take. But regardless of how many photos and videos show the Spurs bitching about the officiating, it's good to know that their fans will continue to remind me that they have won three two championships. Real relevant, losers.

Through the rest of the season and the playoffs at least. Turns out tossing players for laughing and asking NBA players if they want to fight isn't looked upon kindly by the league.

As I wrote right after it happened, Joey Crawford had his Jake O'Donnell moment on Sunday. O'Donnell nursed a personal grudge against Clyde Drexler and ejected Drexler from a playoff game without cause. O'Donnell never worked another NBA game. Today, David Stern indefinitely suspended Crawford for his ejection of Tim Duncan. Crawford has likely worked his last NBA game.
