Hey, when you’re on your third qb and your OL has about as no experience, UCLA fans should be thrilled that we are even getting mentioned.
It’ll be interesting to see how UCLA plays against BYU. Karl Dorrell couldn’t put two good games together in a row…let’s see if Neuheisel can do it.

East Carolina Has Beaten Virginia Tech and West Virginia. So Now, Where Is Their Place in the Top 25?
FanIQ Blog —
Last season, the Skip Holtz, Chris Johnson and the East Carolina Pirates ended the season in Hawaii with an exclamatory win over Boise State. They ended up winning by a field goal, but the game was not as close as the score indicated. The Pirates were winning 31-14 at halftime, and Boise State needed a couple late TD's to even tie it up.
That game must have been a sign of things to come. Even though ECU is without Chris Johnson, who rushed for 223 yards in that game, they are a much better team than people have given them credit for. After the first two weeks of the season, they have done something that no other team in college football has done; beat 2 ...

The Nittany Line —
I got into this biz because, basically, the sports writers of this day and age are generally lazy. Most grab the low-hanging fruit just to make a deadline or try the Dave Jones approach of "say anything negative you can about your local team just so people listen so they can hate you" no matter how retarded it may be. No I don't want to be a writer (like some other guys I know), I'm well aware of the fact that the English language escapes me ('i' before 'e' except after 'c' and sometimes 'y' – what the fuck?!?!) but that's not why I'm here. No I'm here to talk about the teams (and things) I love with people of similar (and ...

Delaware State-FAMU Overtime Thriller Brings MEAC Into National Spotlight —
HBCU Sports Blog
Delaware State’s overtime victory over the Florida A&M Rattlers proved a couple of things. Primarily, that the Hornets are in good shape to defend their MEAC conference championship, and secondly, that the Rattlers are for real in 2008.
The Hornets passed efficiently, ran effectively and buckled down defensively when it mattered most. The Rattlers showed competitive fire and a ...

The Red Zone Report
The best way to describe the second week of the college football season is that it’s one of those ‘in-between’ weeks. Last weekend wasn’t the most exciting week of college football that you’ll ever see, but it was the opening weekend of the season, which makes it a special occasion. And then next week, USC-Ohio State headlines a slate that’s full of excellent games.
But, the good thing ...
College Football Picks 2008 Week 2; Part 3: More Free Picks —
While it doesn't affect my picking I look at several other people's picks around the Internet.
I know everyone has their own angles and does their own research but can someone explain to me what is with the guys who pick without a point spread. I mean sure you're going to have some great outright upsets [...]

Interesting story out of the Delaware State football program, as Hornets head coach Al Lavan is all but accusing new Florida A&M head coach Joe Taylor of cheating . The Hornets and Rattlers are scheduled to meet this Saturday in Dover, but Lavan has gone on the record as saying he hasn’t received film of the Rattlers’ season-opening win over Alabama A&M.
