ESPN Knows it's Bo?
Published 12/1/2007 by BLV at Hi-Plains Drifter
The Worldwide Leader is reporting that Bo Pelini will be the next head coach at Nebraska. According to their source "close to the situation," Pelini could be in Lincoln on Monday for an announcement. Interesting timing considering it's the eve of the SEC title game but this does seem to jibe with both the timeline of the past week and everything we've been hearing thus far. Personally, I've vacillated on Pelini. During this past season he represented the antithesis of Callahan, I would've loved to have had him then but once the coaching search was officially ...

It's worth noting that all of these reports contain the regular "unless something changes" caveats. That's right, the Monday following the SEC Championship game, with reports being leaked out 24 hours from a huge game for the Tigers. The ...

Pelini will coach the Tigers defense Saturday in the SEC championship game against Tennessee and, according to a source close to the situation, will be in Lincoln for an announcement Monday.
No word yet on the exact terms of the deal. Interim Nebraska AD Tom Osborne would not comment on the report.

Riffing on the Rumors
Published 12/1/2007 by Dave at Gorilla Crouch
... ESPN is reporting that Louisiana State defensive coordinator Bo Pelini has accepted the head coaching job at Nebraska. This is in stark contrast to comments from LSU athletic director Skip Bertman about Michigan’s pursuit of head coach Les Miles. Bertman is apparently fine with Pelini finalizing negotiations for a new job while telling Michigan they couldn’t talk to Miles until after today’s SEC championship game. ...
