The expansion San Jose Earthquakes took their first steps toward fielding a team on Wednesday after selecting 10 players in the MLS expansion draft.

Steven Goff's early reports indicate that no RSL players were taken in the expansion draft. Can't say that I'm terribly surprised, since RSL's in the lower castes of MLS and all. Edit: Ives' list is slightly different in terms of who was actually selected, but no RSL players regardless. However, the tidbits at the end of Goff's post are actually a little more interesting, if you ask me. Pope Eddie the 23rd is reportedly talking with DCU about a possible FO job.
