Rating: 4 (Good) Ives Galarcep is reporting that New England is preparing to use its Designated Player slot. We would have rated this higher considering the source but it is almost unfathomable that the Krafts would actually open the wallet to spend on the Revolution. Perhaps the orange shock (and the potential repeat) of the two time falling to Houston in the MLS Cup final, finally forced a change? As much as I agree with everyone cautioning against reading everything into LA’s ghastly performance in Hawaii and, “early doors” notwithstanding, LA looks like a seriously unbalanced team. They need to be adding quality, as opposed to shipping at experienced and, at worst, semi-useful contributors like Martino.
